This application is developped on an embedded dspic target.
It is destinated to be on a desk.
The clock indicates the time, the date, the town and the corresponding prayer times.
It rings and a red LED blinks when it is prayer time.
The clock uses 2 standards cells (AA or R6) to be inserted on the rear of the frame.
The LCD screen displays the prayer times of a default date for the town of Tlemcen / Algeria, where it has been manufactured.
After five seconds, it is time for Maghrib prayer for this date. You will hear the bips (during 10 seconds) and you will see the red LED blinking(during 1 minute).
Of course, you have to configure the time, the date and the location to get correct prayer time.
Please note that, if you change the abttery cells, you have to reconfigure the clock.
Keys
The clock has 4 push buttons (Keys), from left to right : Menu, Up, Down, Entrer. Menu : allow the access to the menu and get out of it, or from a submenu. Successive presses on Menu allows to get out of the configuration options. Up : allows to navigate upward or increment the day, the mounth, the year, the hour, the minutes, the seconds, the towns... depending on the considered submenu. Down : allows to navigate downward or decrement . Entrer : allows to enter in a submenu or to validate the choice.
After 5 seconds of inactvity, the clock outs from configuration Menu and returns to it default displays.
Alarm
A small speaker emits bips.
The clock rings at prayer times.
At the same time, the red LED blinks during 1 minute.
At Fajr, the clock rings only twice whereas for other prayers, it rings 5 times separated by 2 seconds.
